Application Enhancements in JD Edwards Release 25
JDE R25 Delinquency Fees
Businesses now have the flexibility to determine whether delinquency fees are charged based on the invoice’s business unit or the linked address book business unit, thanks to a new processing option in the delinquency fee generation program.
Alphanumeric Account ID’s
JD Edwards now supports alphanumeric account IDs, expanding the available range while maintaining an eight-character limit. Users can configure this feature in E1 system controls or allow the system to transition automatically once numeric IDs reach their maximum. This enhancement provides greater flexibility in financial management while ensuring seamless integration within existing workflows.
Process Page Order To Cash, and Order To Cash Integrated With Warehouse
JD Edwards Release 25 introduces new enterprise automation enhancements in the sales area, focusing on streamlining order-to-cash processes integrated with warehouse operations. One of the key additions is an E1 process page that visually maps the standard order-to-cash workflow, breaking it down into logical sub-processes such as warehouse picking. Users can navigate through these stages via interactive tiles, with watchlists highlighting critical areas like late orders. Additionally, businesses can customize these process models to align with their specific workflows, creating multiple variations as needed.

In this webinar, which was recorded in December 2024, Anne Thiele demonstrates the latest Apps enhancements in Release 25. Designed for both End Users and Decision Makers, Anne keeps the session easy to understand and brief!
Enterprise Process Manager
A new feature called the Enterprise Process Manager allows businesses to automatically generate a process model based on their existing order activity rules. Once enabled under the “Processes” section of Manage Contents, users can select the template they want and have the system map out a process model tailored to their operations. In here is the Order to Cash Process Model Template.
The generated model visually represents each step as nodes, with links illustrating process flow. Users can modify the template to match their unique workflows, ensuring alignment with business requirements. Additionally, integrated metrics provide real-time insights, displaying key data such as order counts and values at different statuses. This graphical interface enhances visibility into order processes, enabling better decision-making and optimization of sales operations.
Procure To Pay Updates
JD Edwards Release 25 brings significant enhancements to procurement, focusing on enterprise automation and improved voucher match automation. Just like in the sales module, Oracle has introduced a Procure-to-Pay Integrated with Warehouse Process Map on an E1 page. This interactive workflow includes watchlists, charts, and customizable process flows, allowing businesses to tailor the visualization to their specific procurement operations.
Additionally, the Procure-to-Pay Process Model Template has been introduced, mirroring the sales-side functionality. Users can generate automated process models based on their procurement rules, providing a clear, graphical representation of the purchasing workflow.
One of the most anticipated enhancements is the Two-Way Voucher Match Automation. Previously, JD Edwards only supported automated voucher matching for three-way matching, requiring a receipt before processing invoices. With this update, businesses can now automate two-way matching, eliminating the need for received purchase orders before invoice processing. This enhancement streamlines accounts payable operations and improves efficiency for organizations using Voucher Match Automation (VMA).
License Plate Workbench
New enhancements to the license plate workbench are focussed on usability, for example the ability to filter and search on specific dates.
Real Estate Management: Edit Tax Information in the Manual Billing Program
Previously, modifying tax details in manual billing was more cumbersome, requiring additional steps. With this update in Release 25, specifically within the Manual Billing Program, users can manage tax information more efficiently, ensuring greater accuracy and compliance in real estate transactions. This enhancement provides users with the ability to edit tax information directly within manual billing, streamlining the process and reducing the time required to make tax-related adjustments. This small but impactful enhancement simplifies tax management for property managers and finance teams handling real estate billing.
