Ndevr was founded in 1998 by Maureen Clifford and Maureen Gunn with a clear goal: to provide Australian JD Edwards customers with the calibre of consulting expertise they deserved.

At the time, many organisations were struggling to get real value from their ERP investments. Large consulting firms often treated clients as account numbers, while independent contractors could lack the accountability and continuity businesses needed.

Maureen Clifford and Maureen Gunn believed there was a better way.

Both brought extensive experience to the table. Maureen Clifford had built her career in finance and IT management, serving as a Director of global manufacturer, Fisher & Paykel, during its most significant growth period, bringing that same operational discipline and strategic thinking to building Ndevr. Maureen Gunn also has a strong background in IT and business systems, with deep expertise in ERP implementation and organisational change. She is also a highly regarded trainer of  JDE Developers, establishing Ndevr as the “Go-to” source for JDE expertise in this region.

Together, they established Ndevr with a simple principle: every client engagement should be treated as the beginning of a long-term partnership, not a one-off consulting project.

That philosophy quickly proved its value. Within a few years, Ndevr was delivering some of the most complex JD Edwards EnterpriseOne implementations in Australia. In 2006, following the acquisition of JD Edwards through PeopleSoft, Oracle invited Ndevr to become an official partner.

In 2012, Oracle acquired Ndevr’s Environmental Accounting modules for both JD Edwards, and E-Business Suite – the only Australian-developed JD Edwards extension Oracle has ever acquired. Oracle released the modules globally in 2013 without any need for code remediation, reflecting the engineering standards and domain expertise Ndevr had built into the solution.

Today, more than 26 years later, Ndevr remains guided by the same principles that shaped its founding: deep technical expertise, integrity in every engagement, and clear, practical communication with clients.

Many of the organisations that partnered with Ndevr in the late 1990s are still clients today. In an industry known for constant turnover, that level of continuity speaks for itself.
