JD Edwards was originally founded in 1977, in Denver, Colorado, the company being one of the original developers of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.The founders desire was to create a system that was driven by the customers needs for tightly integrated systems. You have to put in payroll and job cost, general ledger, inventory, fixed assets and the whole thing."
