Integrating Siebel CRM with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (XE up to 8.12) Reporting under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 NGER's Update The Department of Climate Change has been taking submissions from industry groups that are having to report under NGER - with regards to the development of OSCAR. The result is that the vast majority of respondents have indicated that manual upload for multiple entities in multiple programmes, would provide the most benefit at this point in time. It was initially thought that development of OSCAR would take place in three stages
It was perceived by industry groups that stage 1 did not offer enough flexibility – while stage 3 exceeded industry requirements at this point in time – as such the Department has decided to move straight to the development of Stage 2. To successfully implement this functionality more consultation with industry will be undertaken by the Department - Ndevr has been invited by the Department to participate in the consultation group with a view to building the full set of requirements into this process. Reporting from InSync09 Dean Smith of Ndevr and Sarah Marshall (National Environment & Sustainability Manager) of Abigroup Ltd presented Ndevr's Greenhouse Emissions Reporting Solution and its implementation at Abigroup - which generated several enquiries about the solution from other companies running JDE. Over 550 people attended the conference over the two days to hear more than 130 presentations - 70% of which were conducted by customers and partners. The conference offered compelling and relevant content developed by customers for customers in Australia and New Zealand and clearly filled a role in providing robust information, strategies and ideas across a broad range of topics, on a large scale. The presentations available are now online. To access them please complete the evaluation form. Upon completion you will be provided a link to the presentations page Reporting From Collaborate 2009 Maureen Clifford - Ndevr's CEO presented our Ndevr Greenhouse Emissions Reporting Solution at this years Collaborate conference in Florida. There was some strong International interest shown in the product, in particular from US companies who will soon be affected by mandatory reporting leigslation. The EPA of the United States is creating a nationwide database of greenhouse gas emissions, an important first step on the path to reducing U.S. emissions. The Environmental Protection Agency released a proposed Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule for sixty days of public comment, with a final rule expected in late 2009. The proposal would cover 85 to 90 percent of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. Ndevr has already had enquiries from International companies that believe they will be affected as well as from within the EU which is already heavily regulated. |

Oracle has been addressing IFRS requirements for many years and offers a variety of solutions that can assist with the transition to IFRS. More for JD Edwards.........More for E-Business Suite IFRS and Australia.... The Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) has issued 'Australian equivalents to IFRS' (A-IFRS), numbering IFRS standards as AASB 1-8 and IAS standards as AASB 101 - 141. Australian equivalents to SIC and IFRIC Interpretations have also been issued, along with a number of 'domestic' standards and interpretations. These pronouncements replaced previous Australian generally accepted accounting principles with effect from annual reporting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2005 (i.e. 30 June 2006 was the first report prepared under IFRS-equivalent standards for June year ends). To this end, Australia, along with Europe and a few other countries, was one of the initial adopters of IFRS for domestic purposes. The AASB has made certain amendments to the IASB pronouncements in making A-IFRS, however these generally have the effect of eliminating an option under IFRS, introducing additional disclosures or implementing requirements for not-for-profit entities, rather than departing from IFRS for Australian entities. Accordingly, for-profit entities that prepare financial statements in accordance with A-IFRS are able to make an unreserved statement of compliance with IFRS. The AASB continues to mirror changes made by the IASB as local pronouncements. In addition, over recent years, the AASB has issued so-called 'Amending Standards' to reverse some of the initial changes made to the IFRS text for local terminology differences, to reinstate options and eliminate some Australian-specific disclosure. There are some calls for Australia to simply adopt IFRS without 'Australianising' them and this has resulted in the AASB itself looking at alternative ways of adopting IFRS in Australia.ifrs
